What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manager/Director of Supply Chain position at Route 92 Medical?
PURPOSE OF JOB :
This position will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing and procurement for materials, goods and services for commercial and development products.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead supply chain team in sourcing and purchasing materials, components, packaging and supplies utilized for development of new products and production of commercial products.
- Manage global supplier base to ensure uninterrupted supply required to support commercial production goals.
- Lead identification and contracting activities for new sources to ensure adequate support of the business.
- Develop, implement, and maintain supply chain policies, systems, and workflows with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Manage contract manufacturer to ensure continuous supply of products and assemblies to meet business goals.
- Work with the global supply base to ensure adherence to all appropriate quality and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and resolve supplier issues regarding orders, discrepancies, returns, and quality problems.
- Support R&D and Engineering with early supplier selection and set-up process.
- Generate and review manufacturing and purchasing documents.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure optimal pricing. Monitor costs.
- Other duties as assigned.
