Overview
RoviSys specializes in engineering and system integration to provide computer control systems for manufacturing and environmental control in large buildings. Much of our business stems from capital projects and new construction. We operate in several high-tech and industrial sectors, including Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences, Data Centers, Automotive, Semi-Conductor, Petrochemical, and general manufacturing. Our contracts come from both end users and General Contractors.
We are seeking a Michigan-based Business Developer for sales, networking, and prospecting in an area loosely bounded by Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Fort Wayne. The primary goal of this position is to identify new customer and project opportunities within the industry segments RoviSys serves.
Responsibilities
- Networking and Relationship Building with high-tech and industrial manufacturing companies.
- Ideal contacts include Facility Managers, Engineering Managers, and Production Managers.
- Networking and Relationship Building with General Contractors.
- Ideal contacts include PreConstruction Managers and MEP Project Managers.
- Networking and Relationship Building with industry affiliates such as Engineering and Design firms, Mechanical Contractors, and Electrical Contractors.
- Participation in relevant tradeshows and industry groups (e.g., ISPE, ASHRAE, 7x24, etc.)
Qualifications
The successful candidate must:
- Be outgoing, gregarious, and a natural networker.
- Have prior experience working with or calling on industrial companies, GCs, and industry affiliates as described above.
- Be self-directed and able to work autonomously.
Additional Information:
- Experience in engineering, process controls, and building automation is not required.
- Success will be measured by opportunities identified and relationships created.
- Individual project pursuits and proposal generation will be supported by a broad team of RoviSys project and technical leaders.
