RoviSys engineers are well-versed in numerous control platforms and software packages, and provide end users and customers customized cutting-edge building and facility management solutions to fit their requirements.
RoviSys is seeking a Business Development specialist to assist in our expansion. As a part of the team, the ideal candidate will be capable of locating and defining business and partner relationships, analyzing and utilizing business go-to market strategies, examining risks of business opportunities, and defining customer needs and goals to increase business.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Understands RoviSys project execution methodology
- Stays up-to-date with modern open-integration control platforms
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by building relationships with business partners
- Builds business position by locating, developing, and defining business opportunities
- Consistently researches industry and related events, publications, and announcements
- Discovers and explores relevant business opportunities independently
- Analyzes potential business by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
- Capable of reading engineering drawings (Controls, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), preferred
- Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations
- Understands needs and goals of any project and customer
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements and delivering optimized proposals and scopes of work
- Enhances organization’s reputation by accepting ownership of sales cycle
- Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Attend relevant conferences, trade shows, and events
- It is expected that a network of potential customers and partners will be developed by the candidate, including, but not limited to:
- General Contractors
- Controls A&E Firms
- Mechanical Contractors
- End Users/Customers
Qualifications
Business Development Manager Qualifications / Skills:
- Ability to learn and understand RoviSys project delivery strategy
- Ability to identify customer needs and vet project opportunities
- Engineering or automation background preferred
- Ability to build a local network of partners that can drive repeatable business
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies, and customer relationship management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to providing great customer service
- Desire to prepare controls and automation project estimating
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field, preferred
- 5 years of sales & networking experience
