Wallace Educational Front Desk Receptionist
Reports To: Director of Marketing and Communications
Purpose: To be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient front-office operations. The Front Desk Receptionist will handle various administrative tasks, manage communications, and support the district office staff.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors warmly and professionally.
- Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Provide accurate information to inquiries regarding school district policies, procedures, and events.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, faxing, and filing.
- Maintain and update contact lists and office records.
- Handle emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Support office staff with various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Drive.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills. ? Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Skills and Attributes:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking parents and community members.
