The Part-Time Temporary Admissions Recruiter plays a key role in the recruitment and enrollment efforts of Rowan University Graduate and Non-traditional Admissions. This position is responsible for attracting and engaging prospective graduate and online students, guiding them through the admissions process, and supporting their transition to enrolled students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively recruit prospective students through various channels including phone calls, email/text campaigns, virtual events and other recruitment strategies.
- Provide personalized guidance to prospective students, answering questions about programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, and the application process.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about Rowan University’s programs, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with admissions team members to develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals.
- Assist with admissions events, both on-campus and virtual, to engage with prospective students and provide information about this department’s programs and offerings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with prospective students in the admissions database.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field such as education, counseling, or communications.
- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a wide range of individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of higher education admissions processes and best practices preferred.
Hours:
- This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriate.
