- Assist students with reviewing and learning subject material during scheduled tutoring appointments and drop-in tutoring sessions. Help students to develop study skills and good study habits. Review strategies for effective reading and retention in the assigned subject area.
- Identify areas of subject material that need clarification or review for the assigned courses. Be supportive in modeling critical thinking.
- Review feedback with students on developing Radiographic Critiques for the different levels of Radiographic Positioning and Procedure courses. Review anatomy, centering points, technique analysis, and positioning criteria for all radiographic procedures.
- Support test-taking/ assessment skills in designated subject areas for different courses. This includes the use of flashcards, mock quizzes, and diagrams.
- Facilitate a study group in designated skill areas when needed, such as radiographic physics, procedural areas of interest, and registry exam components, etc.
- Aid in ARRT registry prep for second year students as they progress through Rad Tech Boot Camp and the ASRT Roadmap registry prep modules.
- Provide feedback on registry review progress exams, as well as identifying areas of strengths and weaknesses on registry components. Help students develop a strategy to increase strengths in weak component topics.
- Monitor student progress and maintain progress reports.
- Submit regular documentation of tutoring sessions.
- Communicate regularly with staff, faculty, and students.
- Attend tutor training sessions.
- Meet with the program director and/or faculty to discuss tutor feedback.
- Monitor emails from students and faculty regularly.
- Comply with the duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Job Requirements:
- All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must hold a current ARRT license in Radiography.
- Must have three years of experience as an RT.
- Must have good study habits
- Must have excellent computer literacy skills
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred.

Salary: The salary range is determined in accordance with the MCCC Collective Bargaining Agreement.
