Position Summary: Career and Internship Services serves all RCC students as they enter and grow in their careers. This includes helping students choose a career and supporting their preparation to enter their chosen industry by building their knowledge, skills, and resume. RCC's new Student Job program is intended to provide students with opportunities to:

? Explore career opportunities and pathways Each Student Job assignment is staffed with a supervisor committed to ensuring that students perform their jobs well. More importantly, supervisors are primarily charged with developing and mentoring students through uplifting instruction and modeling positive behaviors and attitudes.
Roxbury Community College is partnering with Suffolk University's Suffolk Entrepreneurship and Educational Development Collaborative (SEED) to provide RCC students a hands-on, practical experience providing consulting services to client companies in business stages that range from start-up to established organizations. The student initially learns real world consulting practices through classroom instruction during the first six weeks of the course and is then assigned a client company(s) through the SEED consulting clinic. For the next eight weeks, a team-based approach will be used to plan, organize, and complete assigned client projects, supervised by Suffolk Instructors. The students are expected to bring their subject matter expertise and provide analysis and fact-based recommendations with a focus on the construction of a solution (client deliverable in industry terms) and present the recommendation to the client. The students will provide expertise in identifying challenges and working as a team, interacting with multi-disciplined consulting clinic and with the client to recommend realistic and actionable solutions in areas that can include optimizing operations, accounting and financial structure, business performance, marketing, sales, creating new business opportunities, influencing client leadership, and being a sounding board for new strategies for the client.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Research and analysis of market and competitive data
? Marketing research to support new market opportunities, and sales efforts
? Financial Planning & Analysis to support sustained profitability, capital structure, and fundraising
? Operations analysis to support optimization of process and organizational structure
? Technology research and recommendations to support digital transformation
? Risk and Compliance and Legal (leveraging Suffolk's legal clinic)
? M&A and strategic partner analysis to help identify targets for growth or exit strategy
Job Requirements:
- Students must have completed at least 30 credit hours of coursework with a 2.4 GPA
- Must demonstrate the ability to work in the United States ? Students must be able to travel to Suffolk University to participate in-person for both classes and consulting hours

Compensation: $16.50/hour
