Roxbury Community College is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Entry-level Business Analyst to support the Administration and Finance (A&F) Office. This role is ideal for an early-career professional eager to apply analytical skills to financial operations, budgeting, and administrative processes within higher education. The Business Analyst will assist in data analysis, reporting, process improvement initiatives, and strategic planning efforts to enhance operational efficiency and fiscal management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The positions will be strongly aligned with the student worker's skill set. RCC A&F will work to ensure that the positions are professionally enriching to the students while simultaneously providing useful service to the college. A&F Student Job opportunities can include the following duties:
? Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and operational data to support decision-making.
? Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations on budget performance, expenditures, and financial trends.
? Support the development and monitoring of the college's annual budget and financial forecasts.
? Conduct research and data validation to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
? Collaborate with various departments to gather business requirements and document processes.
? Assist with financial reconciliations, audits, and compliance reporting.
? Work with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial databases to retrieve and analyze data.
? Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance administrative efficiency and financial transparency.
? Provide support for special projects, grants management, and institutional planning.
Job Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, a Professional Education certificate/credentialling programs, or ESOL Level 4 course.
Additional Information:
Compensation: $18.00/hr
Location: On-campus: Roxbury Community College, 1234 Columbus Ave, Boston, MA 02120
Hours: Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm
