Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. Candidates will be responsible for multiple clients. They will maintain accurate financial records, manage multiple client accounts, and ensure compliance with appropriate accounting principles for each client assigned. This role requires a strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial concepts. Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop is desired, but not required. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.
Duties
- Perform transactional accounting duties such as: recording bills and printing checks as requested by clients, and recording deposits.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all entries.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Generate financial reports including balance sheet, income statement, check registers/bank activities, and special reports as requested by clients.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Provide accurate and timely payroll services for each client as needed.
- Publish various end of year documents including W-2's and 1099's.
- Import Budget numbers into client Quickbook file.
- Assist and collaborate with other staff as requested.
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, debits, credits, and budgeting processes.
- Familiarity with financial reports such as balance sheet, profit & loss, and general ledger.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Quickbooks Desktop and Online is a plus.
- Understanding of financial concepts and principles related to business operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
