The Royal Caribbean Group’s Revenue Planning and Analysis Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Data Analyst on the Revenue Management Team reporting to the Director, Revenue Strategy Analytics.
Position Summary
In this position, you will assist in the development, operation, and maintenance of computer systems and software applications, operating both in the cloud (primarily Azure platform) and on-premises for the data team product. They develop opportunities to optimize and automate key Revenue Management initiatives as well as conducting testing to help define business rules and best practices. The Analyst uses technical knowledge to solve business problems, by means of a systematic and disciplined approach, employing software, hardware, and/or communication technologies to accomplish assignments.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and cloud `big data¿ technologies
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
- Highly analytical and interested in data visualization
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in data systems
- Constantly looking to automate their workloads and striving to provide more timely, accurate, complete business analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study
- 1-3 years of experience in a data/cloud engineering role or display of comparable skill
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with a scripting language: Python, R, etc.
- Strong analytic skills
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
- Able to communicate and implement technical solutions
- Proven ability to collaborate with technical peers
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a certain degree of creativity with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong with methodologies, tools, best practices and processes within specific area of responsibility
