Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Creative & Theatrical Production for Celebrity Cruises, the Manager, Entertainment Production Operations is primarily responsible for managing all production processes associated with CCI Theatrical Productions and entertainment Experience Projects This position will develop and manage all production calendars and schedules for yearly standard operational cast changeovers, new build, new show and experiences projects, as assigned, as well as entertainment-related events. The Manager, Theatrical Production Operations will oversee the day to day running of the shoreside entertainment studios in North Miami, and will support the Manager, Artistic Integrity & Rehearsal Operations in facilitation of rehearsals, presentations, aerial trainings, and other uses of the facilities. The Manager, Production Operations will also liaise between the Shipboard Production Department - Stage and Production Managers, Technical Directors, Cruise Directors and our shoreside leadership team, during an install of a new casts and experiences and throughout their contract and through the life cycle of installed product. The Manager, Theatrical Production Operations will manage and support key areas of theatrical productions and entertainment experiences including scenic, wardrobe operations, props, performer flying and aerial, liaising with shipboard teams to support needs that come up and forecast planned maintenance and inventory replacements on an annual basis. This role will also be responsible for forecasting and managing the studio expenses, production and project specific budgets, cast salaries and project-based vendors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversees production process and logistics for the safe and efficient operation of show rehearsals, cast installation, studio operations and events.
- Forecasts and manages expense tracking for Studio Expenses budget and develops detailed budget plans and tracking systems for all project budgets.
- Manages and processes all purchase orders, invoices, and company card transactions associated with Studio Expenses and project budgets.
- Manages, records and reconciles all project expenses against pre-approved budget allocations for CAR and DEAR budgets relating to theatrical production and onboard experiences.
- Develop and implement production schedules for new projects, as assigned, liaising with appropriate departments to accurately reflect time and steps required for a safe, efficient and on budget installation.
- Schedules and leads frequent Production Meetings with creative teams during new builds, new shows and show remounts to review progress, deliver updates and ensure the project remains on schedule and on budget.
- Liaise with shipboard and shoreside personnel to create clear, concise and comprehensive production schedules for new show production rehearsals and cast installations, distributed to all team members in a timely fashion.
- Liaise with internal teams on RFP creation, development and management to support new entertainment programming.
- Liaise with the legal department on vendor and licensing contracts that support entertainment.
- Reviews and provides action plan follow up for all reports including, but not limited to, installation, end of voyage reports, maintenance, personnel and performer flying/automation reports.
- Liaise with shipboard and install teams to ensure scenery, props, costumes and equipment are in good working order and meet brand standards. Liaise with shoreside staff and vendors for any items requiring repair or maintenance.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient installation of new onboard entertainment, leading teams during creation and installation process to ensure projects are executed in compliance with policies, safety and brand standards.
- Build and develop vendor relationships that support Theatrical Production and studios, as assigned. Manage vendor contracts and liaise on behalf of Celebrity Cruises for regular work to be carried out by support vendors.
- During new builds, new shows, and show remounts, will collaborate and coordinate with Director, Creative & Theatrical Production and Director Entertainment Experience. Will also act as a primary liaison between Celebrity Cruises and our contracted show producers and production vendors to set all expectations for each production process, as well as manage key deliverables and assets needed for longevity of each show.
- Liases with artistic integrity team on cast changeover schedules.
- Responsible for the safe running of all rehearsals in the entertainment studio in North Miami. Facilitates shoreside duty coverage over weekends and holidays and manages emergency response procedures in coordination with the RGC Shared Services/Facilities department.
- Ensures casts and traveling production teams have appropriate travel documentation and visas and are in compliance with medical requirements.
- Liases with Manager, Artistic Integrity & Rehearsal Operations on correct input of weekly cast salaries into the system.
- Facilitates cast payment Seaforms within the Production Support pay plan. Liaises with finance and global compensation on all salary and supplemental pay topics
- Conducts regular staff meetings for effective, clear communication and team alignment within the rehearsal and install process.
- Manages all logistics and shipping needs to ensure install and/or replacement supplies and items are received on time.
- Manage all new build logistics in coordination with the Manager, Entertainment Technical, for all scenic, props, apparatus and wardrobe needs.
- Monitor guest feedback and ratings pertaining to theatrical productions, creating any necessary action plans in collaboration with the shoreside and shipboard leadership teams.
- Creates cast schedule “shells” into company tracking system.
- Oversee and efficiently communicate any potential changes or adjustments to cast contracts with the shoreside casting team and shipboard teams.
- Supports creation and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring safety standards are met and policies are appropriately recorded.
- Partners with Sales, Marketing, PR, Hotel Operations and other departments to develop and execute events that support campaigns and sales initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications, Knowledge And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Entertainment, Theatrical Management (Stage, Technical or Production), Arts Administration or a minimum of five (5) year’s comparable work experience in the entertainment or cruise industry with an emphasis in managing the production process and daily operations for shipboard and shoreside teams
- Expert knowledge of entertainment production process including, but not limited to, timeline creation and management, production and operating budget forecasting and management, negotiating, vendor/partner procurement and management, approval process management and rollout scheduling
- Previous theatre and onboard cruise ship experience, preferred
- Previous experience in licensing IP and music, a plus
- Strong budget forecasting, expense tracking and management skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executive management, groups of managers, employees, staff and vendors; Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment to meet overall established timelines
- Ability to communicate tactfully with department heads, coworkers and other shipboard and shoreside employees to resolve challenges and negotiate resolutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities
- May be required to travel internationally approximately 40% of work-related time. This individual will work approximately 60% of the work time at the Miami shoreside office.
