Description:

If so, we want you to join our team as a Collection Representative! In this role, you'll maintain positive member experiences throughout the collection process, working to resolve delinquency and minimize losses while being empathetic and knowledgeable about relief options.
What You'll Do:
Connect: Reach out to members regarding delinquent loan and credit card accounts, personalizing each interaction to provide accurate and efficient service.
Resolve: Analyze and offer resolution options that are in the best interest of both the member and the credit union, maintaining goodwill and clear communication.
Document: Keep detailed records of all member and account interactions in our collections software platform.
Collaborate: Work with members who have charged-off accounts to set up recovery payments before involving third parties.
Advise: Keep your Collection Supervisor informed of any adverse matters and seek assistance when needed.
Analyze: Prepare for default notices, collateral repossession, legal actions, or charge-offs by analyzing account applications, documents, security perfections, and credit reports.
Represent: Act as a witness in legal actions as requested by legal counsel.
Negotiate: Formalize repayment arrangements with members, verifying arrearage amounts and ensuring execution of modification/repayment documents.
Achieve: Meet all assigned performance management goals and objectives.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, hourly position. 8 hours shifts will generally be Monday through Friday, between 8:20am – 6:00pm with a rotation of weekend hours of 8:20am-12:30pm once every 10 weeks or so.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a financial or call center environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
Experience working with debt collection, default management, loss mitigation, charge-off recovery, repossession of real estate or equivalent.
Training:
Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training. Training is held at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging. Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
