Position: Director of Operations
The Operations Director is responsible for overall operations at Royal Life Centers in Sumner, WA. The Operations Director reports directly to the Executive Director. The Operations Director will monitor recovery technicians and client programs, communicate, and document all occurrences to provide a safe, caring environment in which the clients can recover. This can include counseling, nutrition, rehabilitation, transportation, and educational services. Requires maintaining a positive, productive attitude, even when clients may be argumentative or non-compliant.
Responsibilities
- Notify leadership of repairs or safety issues needing attention
- Writes up all non-compliant staff as needed
- Oversees transportation needs for all admits and discharges
- Ensures that all incident reports are written and submitted to appropriate parties (the state, Executive Director, or HR) promptly
- Organize and lead monthly meetings to address operational concerns, training updates, and compliance matters
- Attends in-service trainings and educational workshops as directed by Royal Life Centers
- Attends all required staff meetings
- Knowledge of Drug and Alcohol Dependency, Mental Health, Family Systems, etc
- Ability to write in clear and concise statements, summarizing client’s feelings, expressions, resistance and response to their treatment plan, goals and objectives
- Ability to confront behavioral changes, identify a crisis and recognize when additional assistance is necessary
- Ability to recognize and identify personal issues that have an impact on job performance and interactions with clients
- Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and client confidentiality
- Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff
- Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of Royal Life Centers and Aliya Health Group
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Ensure adherence to Department of Health regulations and licensing requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all state regulations applicable to the facility.
- Working knowledge of 12-Step Program
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients, staff, peers, supervisors and
- Will communicate with Leadership Team to ensure timely completion of required documentation, etc
- Shares the role of being “On Call” in regards to client or facility emergency
- Takes initiative to find qualified staff for open staffing positions
- Responsible for ensuring new staff members within the department are fully trained
- Other duties as assigned
Oversees:
- Property Searches of clients as required by program standards
- Oversees inpatient staff conducting intake procedures on new clients including room assignments, etc
- Assists Operations Managers and ensures that all scheduling runs smoothly including staff coverage
- Supervise RADT hours for department staff
Expectations

Requirements
- Class “C” Driver’s License
- CPR/First Aid certification, obtain upon employment and maintain current thereafter
- Develop computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties upon employment
- Background Check Clearance
