Company Overview:
Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC is a leading manufacturer and marketer of branded and private label charcoal, fire log, and fire-building products. In addition, the Company also manufactures railroad cross ties, which strengthens our relationship with our suppliers in the charcoal business. Given the recent acquisition of the new business segment of Pine Mountain and Diamond brands, many changes are in process at the company, requiring enhanced leadership.
Position Summary:
The Janitor will be responsible for performing housekeeping to areas such as the main office, lunch room/ break room, lab areas, restrooms, and supervisor/ manager’s office. Scheduled hours will be Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Wipe down windows, doors, and door jams weekly or as often as needed
- Wipe down work stations, including desks, phones, computers, file cabinets, and chairs daily
- Clean surface of restroom stalls, dividers, mirrors, and all chrome material (faucets, etc.)
- Fill toilet paper and hand towel dispensers as needed, leaving extra roll in each stall
- Mop open floor areas in bathroom and lunch room/ break room
- Clean common areas as needed
- Empty trash bins daily and clean coffee pots daily
- Perform other related housekeeping items as needed
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Top candidate for this role will possess strong customer service skills, with a positive, “can-do” attitude. She/he will be able to work independently without regular supervision, and will possess strong organizational and time-management skills. Some prior housekeeping/ janitorial experience is a plus!
Education:
High School Diploma/ GED required
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (12 hours minimum)
- Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs. maximum
- Twisting, turning, or bending with or without product in hand
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in extreme environmental temperatures
- Casual manufacturing environment; Comfortable attire appropriate for manual labor environment
