Work Schedule

Monday to Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM or Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Position Purpose
The Shipping Clerk role involves managing the various components of incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently within a warehouse and dispatch environment. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring accurate documentation and high-quality service.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or as a receptionist in a related field.
  • Strong teamwork orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership qualities coupled with integrity.
  • Exceptional customer care and service skills.
  • Analytical mindset and adept problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using various software applications (must pass a skills assessment test).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to type at least 40 WPM.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and prioritize as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all inbound and outbound truck drivers, ensuring a seamless flow of logistics.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers during check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Accurately input traffic and shipment data into the online logistics management system.
  • Process and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and Packing Lists.
  • Conduct final inspections and ensure the shipment meets quality standards before dispatch.
  • Capture photographs of shipments for quality control purposes and upload these images into the database.
  • Review and scan completed shipping documents daily and forward them to corporate offices.
  • Perform cycle counts to support the upcoming shipping schedule.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of the warehouse to verify staged loads are prepared for shipment.
  • Collaborate closely with the logistics coordinator and Facility Services Team associates throughout the workday.
  • Maintain clear communication with Facility Services Operators to ensure workflow continuity.
  • Enter daily data into the logistics management system for efficient tracking and tracing.
  • Inspect asset trailers during check-in and coordinate repair requests as necessary.
  • Perform twice-daily inspections of the trailer yard to monitor the state and condition, ensuring all loading procedures are correctly followed.
