Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
Conduct maintenance of electrical systems.
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations.
Support the setup of preventative maintenance and other systems. Conduct repairs when necessary.
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
Pressure washing.
Electrical & Lighting (assessments and change bulbs).
Plumbing (Replace hardware, unclogging toilets, sinks, water clean-up, assess water leaks).
HVAC preventative maintenance services
Replace ceiling tiles, vent covers, batteries, soap dispensers, car stops.
General building & exterior maintenance.
Painting.
Unit make ready / move-in and move-out services.
Provide light janitorial duties when needed. Ensuring that properties are clean and present well.
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician
Basic understanding of electrical, Plumbing, and hydraulic systems
Understanding of HVAC systems and how to repair
Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
Experienced in operating a variety of equipment.
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Organized, reliable, trustworthy, dedicated individual
Respond quickly to all repair requests, perform preventative maintenance activities, and effectively manage outside vendors and contractors
Produce complete and high-quality work
Interface effectively with various user groups (tenants, vendors, owners, internal team members)
Self-motivated with an eye for detail who has a fast-paced work ethic!
Positive, “can-do” attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $22.50 per hour
