Bus Monitor-Monday-Friday 2.5 hours/day
Job Description
- Assist bus driver in providing safe transportation to handicapped students
- Assist bus driver in handling wheelchair riders
- Assist bus driver in case of emergency
- Maintain discipline on the bus
- Assist individual students as needed
- Assist with personal hygiene issues
- Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Director
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate, or GED.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Possess a current First Aid Card
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must be able to work patiently with special needs students
- Agility to enter and exit the bus using the emergency exit
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Transporation Director
Terms of Employment
- Starting Date: 02/18/2025 unless otherwise specified, 24-25 School Year
- Salary: $19.08-$24.22 hourly Per PSE Salary Schedule 2024-2025 School Year
- Hours: 2.5 Hours/day
- Benefits: Retirement (Department of Retirement Systems), medical, dental, and life insurance benefits (SEBB through HCA)
