Senior Accountant

Great opportunity for someone - this a Private Equity backed, growing company looking to add to their team - a newly created role. This person will have a chance to add value, contribute to process improvements, and have room to grow and take on more complex responsibilities as they grow with the company. Reports directly to a Controller who puts an emphasis on professional development of their team.

Must be able to work 3x a week in Fort Mill, SC office. (2x a week work from home).

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Month-End Close:

o Perform monthly journal entries (e.g., prepaids, accruals).

o Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.

2. Compliance and Audits:

o Support external audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls.

o Assist in preparing and submitting tax filings and regulatory reports.

3. Process Improvement:

o Develop and implement reconciliation procedures.

o Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policies and practices.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

o Partner with other departments to support company objectives.

o Provide training and guidance to non-finance staff as needed.

5. Accounting Transaction Processing:

o Perform customer and vendor account reconciliations and support strong working relationships.

• o Provide general departmental support as needed for tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling cash, and preparing reports.

Requirements:

• 3 years of hands on Accounting experience.
• NetSuite experience is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• BS in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree. MS is a plus
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
