Main Responsibilities
This HR Specialist (Benefits) role involves managing benefits and leave initiatives for all facilities, including processing FMLA, STD/LTD, and workers compensation claims. The successful candidate will have 70% of their time dedicated to these tasks, with flexibility to support the recruitment team in low claim periods or other projects within the HR department.
Key Tasks:
The HR Specialist will also assist with various HR duties, including hourly production recruitment, intern and summer student program administration, updating handbooks and policies, training administration, grants, and apprenticeship programs.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in HR Benefits, a Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or a related field, and strong knowledge of FMLA claims, ADA, and related federal and state regulations. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to travel within the US (likely no more than 3 times per year) are also essential.

- Process leave requests and ADA accommodations.
- Engage with providers to optimize healthcare benefits for employees.
- Conduct reporting, analytics, and education to drive benefits strategy and plan optimization.
