Design Engineer

Role: Design Engineer

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday

Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for innovation and design? We're looking for a Design Engineer to join team in Warwick and help shape the future of our market-leading products!

Key Responsibilities

• Concept Development: Identify needs, set requirements, and define problems to develop innovative systems and components.
• Design & Validation: Create detailed designs, communicate requirements, and oversee validation processes.
• Product Launch Support: Provide engineering support for production and resolve issues with vehicles in build.
• Field Service: Investigate field service issues, identify root causes, and provide practical resolutions.
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering principles, stress, strain, fatigue, material specifications, and design methodology.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in automotive or related fields.
• Skills: Proficiency in CAD (ideally Solid Edge), BOM creation, fastener technology, pressed component design, welding procedures, and basic hydraulics.
• Qualifications: M/BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; HNC/HND/Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
• Abilities: Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team.
