About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead and support the day-to-day IT operations across three West Michigan locations and a small group of remote team members. This is a hands-on role, primarily based out of our West Michigan Corporate Headquarters, with travel to each facility as needed.
The IT Manager will report to the Director of Corporate Projects and IT and will work hand-in-hand with the East Michigan IT Manager to support and maintain the company’s overall IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and confident in managing their own day-to-day responsibilities and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily IT support for three physical locations in West Michigan and a distributed team of remote employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, cloud services, Wi-Fi, printers, phone systems, and backup systems.
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, and deployments with minimal business disruption.
- Coordinate with vendors for service and equipment support.
- Ensure cybersecurity best practices and data protection protocols are followed.
- Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide training and support to staff as needed on new systems or technologies.
- Collaborate with leadership to assess and plan for future IT needs and improvements.
- Travel between company facilities as needed to support local IT needs.
- Work collaboratively with the East Michigan IT Manager to ensure alignment and consistency across all company locations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, networking, VPN, and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with VOIP phone systems
- Experience with enterprise-level management of Apple devices
- Experience supporting remote workers and multi-location environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in ERP/DMS systems a plus.
- Automotive or Heavy Duty industry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Self-motivated and able to independently manage responsibilities and priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $95,000.00 per year
