Job Title: Area Manager – Janitorial Cleaning Services

Position Overview: The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of janitorial cleaning services across multiple locations. This role ensures that all cleaning contracts are executed to the highest standards, managing both teams of cleaning staff and client relationships. The Area Manager plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and client satisfaction, while ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management:
  • Oversee and supervise the day-to-day janitorial operations across assigned sites.
  • Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards and on time.
  • Implement and enforce cleaning procedures, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Team Supervision:
  • Manage and lead a team of cleaning supervisors, staff, and contractors.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for staff to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to understand their cleaning needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review performance, address feedback, and improve service.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections and audits of cleaning operations.
  • Ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment as per safety standards.
• Resource Management:
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that resources are used efficiently.
  • Order and track supplies to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
• Financial Oversight:
  • Assist in budget preparation and manage operational costs effectively.
  • Track and report on labor costs, supplies, and other operational expenses.
  • Help identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Reporting & Documentation:
  • Provide regular reports on operations, employee performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for employee hours, inventory, and incident reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in janitorial services, facilities management, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety standards, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and customer service focus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or other reporting software.
• Valid driver’s license.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in facilities management or related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in the janitorial or facilities management industry.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, with flexibility to work evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to travel between multiple locations within the designated area.
