Job Title: Field Supervisor – Janitorial Cleaning Services

Position Overview:
The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of janitorial cleaning services at various client locations. This role ensures that the cleaning teams adhere to high-quality standards, perform their duties efficiently, and meet the specific needs of the client. The Field Supervisor provides leadership and support to cleaning staff, conducts regular inspections, and ensures compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership and Supervision:
  • Supervise and guide a team of cleaning staff at assigned locations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and adhere to cleaning procedures.
  • Assign tasks and ensure that they are completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Motivate and engage cleaning staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
• Quality Control & Inspections:
  • Conduct regular inspections of client facilities to ensure that cleaning tasks meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to the cleaning team to enhance performance.
  • Maintain a checklist of cleaning duties to ensure all areas are properly serviced according to the client's specifications.
• Client Interaction:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
  • Address client concerns or complaints promptly, resolving issues to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Conduct site visits with clients to review service quality and address any feedback or special requests.
• Inventory and Supplies Management:
  • Monitor the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel to ensure timely replacements.
  • Ensure that staff use supplies and equipment efficiently to avoid waste.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Enforce the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment, following OSHA and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct safety audits and address any safety concerns immediately to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning tasks, staff hours, and supplies used.
  • Submit regular reports to upper management on the status of cleaning services, staff performance, and client feedback.
  • Document any incidents or safety issues and report them according to company procedures.
• Problem Solving:
  • Identify and address any operational issues, ensuring that they are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Provide solutions to challenges related to cleaning schedules, staff availability, or client needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in janitorial services or facilities management, with at least 1 - 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both staff and clients.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the janitorial industry.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or reporting software.
• Valid driver’s license.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; certification in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in janitorial services or facilities management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to travel between multiple client sites within the designated area.
• Ability to lift cleaning supplies and equipment, and work in various indoor environments.
