Summary:Our client is looking a Senior Researcher will lead strategic research efforts to inform the Department of the Army’s Office of the Chief of Public Affairs (OCPA) and the Department of Defense (DoD). This role focuses on audience analysis, media research, and data-driven insights to optimize communication efforts across Army platforms, both traditional and digital.
Key Responsibilities:Research and Analysis: Collaborate on developing metrics to assess communication effectiveness; conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis.Data Collection and Media Monitoring: Collect and analyze media data using tools like Talkwalker, Meltwater, and Google Analytics.Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports with insights on media trends, engagement, and recommendations to improve messaging.Database and Knowledge Management: Oversee a database for storing and managing research data, ensuring its accessibility and usability.Social Listening and Trend Analysis: Lead the use of social listening tools to track trends, engagement, and content resonance across DoD platforms.Consulting and Recommendations: Advise OCPA leadership on best practices and strategies based on media and public data.
Qualifications:Education: PhD with 5 years in social science, behavioral research, or a related field; advanced degree in media analysis or data science preferred.Experience: Extensive experience in media research, social media metrics, and data-driven communication strategy.Skills: Proficient in data analysis, visualization, and reporting; expertise in social listening and media monitoring tools.Additional Requirements: Knowledge of Army and DoD communication policies and trends in public opinion and digital communication.Travel: Some travel may be required.
