Job Title: Material Planner II

Department: Production

Reports to: Planner/Procurement Supervisor

This job description will be reviewed periodically as duties and responsibilities change with business necessity. Essential and marginal job functions are subject to modification.

Position Summary:

Assists in the planning and scheduling of engineering projects, in order to maximize efficiency and eliminate problems and issues.

Essential Functions:

· Analyzes project information and puts findings into reports, in order to create more efficient scheduling.

· Monitors and tracks projects, and sets and re-sets schedules according to gathered data.

· Prepares planning and scheduling documents.

· Oral and written communication skills.

· Leadership skills.

Education and/or Experience:

· Performs work under general supervision.

· Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

· Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

· May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

· Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience.

Environmental Conditions:

· Indoors in normal manufacturing environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise, dust, and fumes.

· Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.

· Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet customer deadlines.

· May move from one work location to another occasionally.

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing areas were under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Industrial lighting provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.48 - $51.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
