CNC Programmer

Job Description:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager in a Collaborative team environment, programming CNC Punch and Laser profiling machines. Work with Fabrication Managers, Team Leads, and Operators to provide the most efficient and cost effective static and dynamic nested CNC programs to maximize sheet utilization and machine capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe working environment while abiding by Safety Policies.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints to understand requirements
• Use programming software to develop efficient punch and laser programs
• Analyze drawings to determine necessary tooling and cutting methods
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Consider tools required to cut particular materials and programming machines accordingly
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with programs as they arise

Qualifications for CNC Programmer

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
• 2 – 5years experience with CNC Punch and Laser programming Software required
• Experience with Stryker, BySoft Cam, or Amada VPSS4i desired
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving g-code problems that arise
• Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
• Should have a positive and professional attitude
• Available to work weekends and overtime
