Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support mobility by helping patients move safely within their environment.
- Monitor and record vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Help manage medications by reminding patients of their schedules and documenting adherence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in areas such as inpatient care, hospital medicine, or geriatrics.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical units, operating rooms (OR), outpatient services, pediatric intensive care units (PICU), or emergency medicine is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
