As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Machine Operator/Laborer to support our projects by operating machinery, assisting with site work, and performing general labor duties.
Job ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and loaders.
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance to keep equipment in safe working condition.
- Transport and handle construction materials, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Follow site safety protocols and equipment guidelines.
General Labor
- Assist with site preparation, including excavation, grading, and foundation work.
- Support carpenters, masons, and other trades by moving materials and setting up work areas.
- Keep job sites clean and organized by managing debris and properly storing tools.
- Read and follow construction plans, working closely with supervisors and project managers.
- Perform minor tool and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience operating construction machinery is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Vermont.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus (can be obtained after hire).
