What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR/Payroll Business Partner position at RSM Maintenance?
Summary.
This position offers independent contribution to employee relations, payroll and compliance responsible for (1) employee communication; (2) conflict resolution; (3) payroll process; (4) generalist functions within assigned office locations. This position requires at least two days of local travel each week, extensive organizational skills, attention to detail and a cooperative approach with in/external personnel.
Job Responsibilities.
- Reviews and offers revisions to job descriptions.
- Complies with federal and state employment regulations.
- Negotiates salary; disseminates employment offers.
- Maintains the integrity of the HRIS.
- Manages employee relations for assigned personnel.
- Spearheads change initiatives.
- Internal communications including Viva Engage.
- Health & Safety initiatives.
- Full cycle payroll process including all updates/changes.
- Off-boarding of personnel; may participate in UC hearings as necessary.
- Guides managers with conflict resolution.
- Reviews and revise disciplinary actions and/or plans.
- Participates in investigations as required.
- Provides on-site local support to assigned company location.
- May assist with creation and implementation of work environment and culture events that reinforces company’s mission and values.
- May assist with recruiting.

Education/Experience.
Degree with three years’ experience in a HR Generalist role or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of full payroll cycle, impeccable organizational skills, ability to travel to local offices, proficiency in MS office skills and the willingness to expand HR knowledge.
