Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive and industrial coatings sales, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with B2B clients. Responsibilities:
- Conduct training on products.
- Call on customers for sales opportunities.
- Be a resource on tech issues, and shipping issues to vendors.
- Process and follow through on account requests to completion.
- Communicate with admin support on orders when necessary.
- Knowledge of territory trends and needs of the client base.
- Create a sales plan for assigned territory and report revenue goals to the VP of Sales.
- Plan daily activities to achieve planned revenue targets.
- Plan vendor training and marketing events as needed.
- Stay up to date on continuous changes in product lines from manufacturers.
- Complete daily deposits on time with no variances.
- Report all health and safety incidents to the immediate supervisor.
- Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted or up to 300lbs with a dolly.
Requirements:
- Ability to travel a minimum of 75% of work schedule.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to follow and execute sales plans.
- Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- A driving record
- Valid in-state driver’s license
Preferred:
- 2 years of experience in paint, body, and equipment (PBE) sales or related industry fieldwork.
Compensation:
- Base pay depends on experience & skill level.
- Commission and incentive opportunities available.
