Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with industry standards.
In this role, you will manage all phases of project development, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and other RainTight Decks/RT Construction divisions to deliver successful project completion.
The ideal candidate must be a result driven, detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of client relationship management, preferably with a background in construction and/or construction estimating. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of outdoor living projects, from planning to completion, working with teammates and external vendors.
- Serve as clients' primary point of contact, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Develop project timelines, track progress, and manage budgets to ensure efficient execution.
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project.
- Ensure smooth collaboration and delivery, lead project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff.
- Ensure construction meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Address issues as they arise, finding creative solutions to keep projects on track.
- Produce and track change orders, schedules and job close outs.
- Coordinate, order, and schedule delivery of materials.
- Manage actual costs in order to meet budgeted costs.
- Issue weekly progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines.
- Manage relationships with general contractors, owners, and suppliers.
Requirements
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and remain resilient under stress.
- Will need experience in problem-solving in the building industry and can promptly address customer problems, and when appropriate, forward, in a timely manner, to the appropriate person to resolve the issue.
- Comfortable reading and understanding drawings and specifications
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent time management skills, with flexibility.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to follow established administrative procedures, including maintenance of client information files and making sure all pertinent information is attached in our customer management system.
- Ability to adhere to all company policies/procedures and operate effectively within established budgetary restraints.
- A friendly personality with a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team in a collaborative environment.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving history.
- A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field of study is a plus.
