RTI International’s Health Practice Area has multiple openings for experienced Bachelor’s-level Research Analysts to assist with implementation, analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of innovative health and social policies, programs, and research initiatives. As an Analyst, you will function as an integral part of a team supporting research and analytic activities and project coordination. The role includes opportunities to collaborate with senior research staff while developing an in-depth understanding of critical health policy and research issues, and advanced methods. This position is hybrid, based in any of the following RTI’s U.S. offices in Research Triangle Park, NC; Waltham, MA; or Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
- Manage correspondence and project communications and assist with other project management responsibilities including scheduling, preparing meeting agendas, and recording meeting minutes.
- Conduct literature reviews, environmental scans, and synthesize findings.
- Assemble and distribute various materials, including study supplies and data collection forms to field or clinical sites.
- Contribute to and/or prepare portions of technical memoranda, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with quantitative research activities including data abstraction, data analysis, data cleaning, file building, statistical modeling, measure calculation, writing detailed technical specifications, creating tables and figures, and/or writing analytic reports.
- Become familiar with large health-related datasets (e.g., Medicare enrollment, claims and encounter data, national health surveys, Medicaid data, cancer registries).
- Assist with qualitative research activities including individual and stakeholder interviews, focus groups, technical expert panels, and/or data collection studies.
- Collect and review data obtained through observations, document review, questionnaires, or other sources according to established guidelines, and edit data as required.
- Compile and manage analytic databases using database software.
- Assist in developing and implementing processes to assure quality and accuracy of data analyses.
- Review and proof own work for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree with a minimum of one year post-baccalaureate experience in Health Policy, Health Services Research, Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, Economics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- A demonstrated interest in health services and/or health/social policy research, public health, behavioral health.
- Quantitative and/or qualitative skills through research experience or coursework.
- Working experience with one or more of the following software packages: R, Python, SQL, Stata preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail. - Ability to work successfully and communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
