JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing our financial operations and ensuring the integrity of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will lead the accounting team, manage financial reporting, and provide strategic insights to support business growth and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and company policies.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Coordinate the preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
Compliance & Auditing:
- Oversee audits (internal and external) and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Supervise AP/AR functions and ensure timely processing of transactions.
- Manage cash flow and working capital efficiently.
Systems & Process Improvement:
- Work with operating management to establish and maintain a systematic internal control structure.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and tools.
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned or apparent.
