What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Custodian position at RTP COMPANY?
The Industrial Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean plant in common areas primarily focused on floors and carbon black lay down areas. They will maintain the cleaning equipment for the floors, parking lot and larger vacuum units. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and will assist as needed for cleaning projects and maintenance projects.
Work Schedule: 1st Shift: 7am to 3pm - scheduled to work other shifts as needed
Responsibilities
- Utilizes and maintains all floor cleaning equipment (Mobile scrubbers, sweepers, and hand tools)
- Maintains and cleans all exterior areas to comply with Enviornmental Guidelines
- May assist in basic maintenance projects as needed
- Completes required paperwork
- Follows general safety and housekeeping standards
- Makes recommendations to Maintenance Supervisor on how to improve the cleanliness of the site
