What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Custodian position at RTP COMPANY?
The Industrial Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean plant in common areas primarily focused on floors and pellet lay down areas. They will maintain the cleaning equipment for the floors, parking lot, and larger vacuum units. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager and will assist as needed for cleaning projects and some material handling in manufacturing as needed.
Work Schedule: 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Utilizes and maintains all floor cleaning equipment (mobile scrubbers, sweepers, and hand tools).
- Maintains and cleans all exterior areas to comply with environmental guidelines.
- May assist in basic material handling as needed.
- Completes required paperwork.
- Follows general safety and housekeeping standards.
- Makes recommendations to management on how to improve the cleanliness of the facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
