The individual contributor - Manager, Human Resource (HR) Partner for the York, Nebraska site provides functional expertise and leadership. The HR Partner is accountable for executing people related strategies and plans that elevate the talent and capability of the teams within the facility while driving positive employee relations. This individual is a key member of the site leadership team and is responsible for developing and maintaining great relationships to deliver excellent and consistent HR Partner support by delivering HR processes and activities, championing a matrixed HR model to ensure maximum impact as strategic HR partner with aligned support from shared services and centers of expertise, and implementing programs that elevate the talent capabilities.

This position will be worked primarily onsite to our York, Nebraska location with one day a week remote variable on business needs. Relocation assistance is available.    

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads day to day human resources activity while acting as trusted advisor to employees and leaders.

  • Acts as a business partner, strategic partner, trusted advisor, relationship builder, talent champion and culture/change ambassador for leaders within the organization.

  • Coaches, partners, and counsel’s leaders on topics from team effectiveness and talent development to culture transformation, and DE&I.

  • Supports and coaches leaders in effectively working with their employees to develop and measure progress against employee development plans, including growth assignments.

  • Leads projects and assignments related to annual HR processes including compensation planning, succession planning, workforce planning, employee engagement and other key processes.

  • Designs and implements human resources strategies focused on increasing employee engagement, retention, talent health, and implementing plans for DE&I activities.

  • Updates and maintains trackers and statistics and participates in regulatory and HR audits.

  • Provides data analysis and reports solutions based on business needs utilizing metrics to drive decisions.

  • Identifies potential training needs for internal clients and assists in closing training gaps in partnership with the leadership team.

  • Compiles and analyzes statistical or personnel-related data, such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates to conduct key driver analysis in relation to retention, talent, equity, and other opportunities and implements solutions.

  • Partners with local technical college or other local resources to establish relevant training programs focus on growing and developing highly skilled technical workforce.

Analytical: Ability seek and make data based decisions and recommendations.

Project management: Strong project management skills like organization and time management will assist the HR business partner in effectively leading assigned project toward completion.

Problem-solving & Independent starter: HRBPs often must solve problems. In this role, you will have to be able to identify the problem and then come up with a solution to overcome it. As an HRBP, you will have to be able to initiate and complete tasks without prompting

Influential Leadership: As an HRBP, you need to meet the overall objectives of the company by influencing, working through, and motivating others to complete the tasks.

Collaboration: As an HRBP, you will have to work with and across various functions to reach your objectives. You will have to be able to collaborate with a diverse group of thought partners and various parts of the HR organization to complete tasks.

Change management & communications: As an HRBP, having the ability to coach leaders facilitate discussions around change and transformation is key.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • This position will be located in York, NE; candidate must be local to the preferred location or be willing to relocate

  • Proven track record of success in driving engaged organization by creating and implementing HR strategies

  • Proven track record of success in serving as a business partner to other business leaders and driving strong business results

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to effectively communicate with people across all levels of the organization

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Change Agent: Effectively leads change, action and results. Experienced in leading initiatives through periods of significant change. Capable of executing highly innovative HR programs that help elevatebusiness to the next level of success. Experience in building a high-performance culture that balances results orientation with caring for the individual

  • Business Acumen: Demonstrates understanding of the financials and metrics of the business

  • HR Expertise: Current knowledge of best practice for human resources processes, tools including the areas of performance management, compensation, recruiting, talent development and succession management, labor and employee relations for the ownership and implementation by leaders

  • Employee Relations: Has the ability to coach and mentor employees and leaders through complex employee relations opportunities.

  • Coaching skills: Partners with others to assess a situation, create action plans and provide ongoing support to drive increased performance
