What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice position at Ruan Transportation Management Systems?
The purpose of the apprenticeship position is to develop students that are pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or applicable division. Apprentices may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the transportation business. Apprentices will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Duties may include assisting in the preparation of reports and presentation material.
- Provide day-to-day business activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs.
- Fully support financial business case analysis.
- Participate in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects, and provide technical support in managing the business unit's financial performance.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
