THE POSITION
Rubenstein Communications is seeking a talented, innovative, and solutions-oriented Vice President, Digital Group, to provide digital strategy and content development support for a diverse range of clients and amplify their brands across multiple platforms and channels. This is a creative, cross-functional role informed by data to drive measurable results.
The Vice President will lead the ideation and development of digital content, while collaborating closely with the internal PR teams to deliver results. They will be an exceptional writer and communicator with strong digital marketing experience, a robust storytelling track record, and a depth of research and analytics experience.
Rubenstein Communications’ clientele includes: global corporations, media and entertainment companies, financial services organizations, educational and cultural institutions, law firms, health care providers, not-for-profit organizations, real estate companies, business executives and public figures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement high-impact digital content strategies across multiple channels (social, email, websites, advertising platforms, SEO, paid campaigns, influencer activations, blogs, news sites, etc.) that complement traditional PR efforts for clients across various industries
- Provide expert consultation to clients on emerging digital trends, content optimization, and audience engagement strategies
- Oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel content campaigns that align with clients' business objectives and brand positioning
- Utilize research tools to conduct audits and monitor digital platforms, analyze metrics, and develop a content strategy through data-driven decision making
- Establish, manage, and optimize a content workflow and calendar to bring the strategy to life
- Develop meaningful KPIs and reporting frameworks that demonstrate ROI
- Work cross-agency with internal teams to develop strategic digital recommendations that help accomplish client objectives and drive results
- Monitor client content and campaign performance metrics to forecast trends and glean insights in both the short and long term
- Nimbly work well within a collaborative team account structure; actively mentor an array of junior staff and guide their ability to meet deadlines and enhance skills
- Stay current and adaptable to industry trends, platform algorithm changes, evolving social media landscape, and industry innovations
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Understanding of all aspects of content strategy, from research, analysis and strategic planning to the ongoing creation, optimization, and governance of content that serves user needs and helps clients achieve their objectives
- Excellent writing, analytical, and presentation skills with proven ability to craft compelling content, communicate effectively across teams, and present to diverse audiences while maintaining focus on team success
- Ability to manage time, multi-task, and move quickly with efficiency and attention to detail while ensuring deadlines are met; diligent and organized with proven, high-level project management capability
- Conversant in current breaking news both nationally and globally
- Ability to quickly comprehend and analyze complicated matters and help boil them down to key messages/actions
- Able to take verbal direction quickly and accurately
- Self-motivated individual capable of working autonomously and taking initiative
- Ability to think critically and creatively and develop new and interesting ideas
- Exhibit initiative and the drive to succeed; creative, curious, and energetic personality
- Demonstrated expertise with digital platforms, analytics tools, and content production software, with the ability to identify emerging trends and translate them into strategic opportunities for clients
- Familiarity with day-to-day tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, SproutSocial, Meltwater, Google Analytics, and others
- Basic understanding/familiarity with AI and LLMs
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- College degree preferred – focus in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media, English, or Research/Data/Analytics, is ideal
- 8 – 10 years of B2B or B2C marketing experience specializing in one or more of the following areas: content strategy, brand strategy, CRM strategy, digital strategy, communication strategy, media strategy
- Agency experience highly desired; versatility to work across multiple sectors helpful
WORKPLACE | COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Workplace: We currently operate in a hybrid workplace model with designated on-site and remote workdays. Our schedule is Monday and Friday from home, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office. Staffers are required to be within commuting distance of our office on remote/flexible days.
Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on a number of factors, including (but not limited to): the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and business or organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary bonus not included in this pay range.
