Job Overview:
As we continue to scale, RUDIS is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President of Sales to lead our revenue strategy, drive business growth, and build a high-performing sales organization. This executive leader will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that fuels top-line revenue, expands market share, and strengthens long-term customer relationships.
The VP of Sales will lead a team of directors, ensuring their success is the foundation for RUDIS' growth. This leader will also collaborate with cross-functional teams—including supply chain, brand, product, and finance—to ensure sales strategies align with company goals.
This role is ideal for a high-impact leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, a deep understanding of the wrestling community, and the ability to scale new business verticals both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Sales Strategy:
- Develop and execute a scalable, long-term sales strategy aligned with RUDIS’ growth objectives across DTC, wholesale, team sales, and new business channels.
- Expand revenue opportunities by identifying and capitalizing on new markets, customer segments, and strategic partnerships in wrestling and adjacent sports.
- Lead and implement an international expansion strategy, leveraging current channels to assess and prioritize global market opportunities.
- Develop a new business unit around the sport of Lacrosse, aligning with RUDIS' values and market positioning.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and empower a team of Directors, ensuring their success translates into company-wide growth.
- Build a high-performance, results-driven sales culture with clear accountability, coaching, and mentorship.
- Establish a data-driven approach to sales, ensuring teams use analytics to drive decisions and forecast growth.
- Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:
- Own top-line revenue growth, continuously optimizing strategies to increase market share and customer acquisition.
- Strengthen and expand direct sales relationships with key teams, retail partners, and distributors to drive long-term success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with supply chain, brand, product, and finance teams to ensure sales strategies align with operational capabilities and financial goals.
- Partner with marketing to develop targeted campaigns that amplify sales initiatives and strengthen brand positioning.
- Sales Forecasting & Analytics:
- Develop and manage sales financial plans, setting clear goals for revenue, margin performance, and profitability.
- Use data analytics and performance metrics to continuously optimize sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue forecasting.
- Strategic Partnerships & Pricing Strategy
- Identify and secure new strategic partnerships within wrestling, lacrosse, and broader sports industries to fuel revenue growth.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies that balance profitability with brand positioning across all sales channels.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- 10 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in sports apparel, footwear, or consumer goods industries.
- Proven track record of building, scaling, and leading high-performing sales teams that drive significant revenue growth.
- Experience in DTC, wholesale, and team sales models, with a strong understanding of eCommerce and retail distribution.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with the ability to develop, manage, and optimize sales budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Passion for wrestling, sports, or performance-driven brands is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
