We are seeking a seasonal Construction Review Technician based out of our Waukesha office .
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Inspecting the construction of sewer, water, paving and other construction projects to ensure that line and grade, materials and workmanship comply with plans and specifications
- Prepare accurate daily reports and record drawings utilizing electronic reporting software
- Provide project information to contractors, project managers and municipal officials
- Interact with the public answering questions and complaints
- Recommend solutions to complaints and construction related questions, or elevate to a higher level for resolution
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience and abilities:
- Initiative, a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Skill in interacting using diplomacy and tact with a variety of different people including residents, municipal officials, supervisors, project managers, contractors and laborers.
- The ability to act as an on-site coordinator for construction projects.
- An Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge or experience in municipal infrastructure preferred, but not required.
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- The ability to use tools to measure, estimate and verify that project specifications are followed.
- A willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and personal vehicle insurance.
