Busy law firm is currently looking for a full-time paralegal to join our growing practice. We have an immediate opening for a paralegal with 3-5 years of experience in real estate law, business law, water law, civil litigation and experience with working cases from the initial consultation through resolution of the case either through settlement or trial. Key responsibilities are listed in greater detail below. Willing to consider work from home or hybrid scenario for the right candidate.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal/legal assistant experience
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents
- Knowledge of real estate law, business law, water law, civil litigation
- Ability to work with legal document management systems and conduct thorough legal research

- Proficiency in Westlaw for legal research
In addition to the foregoing, the ideal candidate will keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney. Will help develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling meetings with clients, mediators and others. Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.
Key Responsibilities
Business Law & Entity Formation:
- Prepare and file entity formation documents, including LLCs, corporations, and partnerships.
- Draft and maintain corporate governance documents such as bylaws, operating agreements, and resolutions.
- Assist in business transactions, contract drafting, and compliance filings.
Real Estate Law:
- Prepare and review real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, deeds, leases, and easements.
- Conduct title searches, review title commitments, and coordinate with title companies.
- Assist in real estate closings by preparing closing documents and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
Water Law:
- Assist in preparing and filing water right applications, change applications, and related legal documents.
- Conduct research on water rights, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
- Work with state and local agencies on water-related matters, ensuring compliance with Utah water law.
General Legal Support:
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on business, real estate, and water law matters.
- Maintain case files, organize records, and manage deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and government agencies professionally and effectively.
- Assist attorney in preparing for hearings, meetings, and transactions.
Administrative Duties:
- Prepare and file documents with state and federal agencies, including annual reports and business registrations.
- Manage document organization, filing systems, and case management software.
- Schedule meetings, track deadlines, and coordinate attorney calendars.
Civil Litigation Support (All Practice Areas):
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and disclosures.
- File documents electronically with state and federal courts.
- Manage case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibit binders, and hearing logistics.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
