Job Description: Dog Bather
Welcome to Ruff n Fluff Pet Grooming
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a dog bather. We are Looking for a part-time bather that is patient, professional who is attentive, puts pride into their work and is hardworking.

Comfortable with various dog breeds, sizes, coats, and temperament

Duties:
Clean and maintain salon, kennels, table, tub and tools
Communicate professional with clients and listen attentively to grooming request
Operate in a safe manner with pets, tools and other staff
Groom with an eye for detail in both brushing, blade work, and hand scissoring.
Be able to Lift up to 50lbs, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, and stand all during a normal workday
Be able to bath, dry, from start to finish 8-10 dogs
Responsibilities:
- Bathe and groom dogs using shampoos, conditioners, and other grooming products
- Dry and brush dogs to remove matted and debris from their coats
- Trim nails, grind nails, brush teeth and clean ears
- Monitor the well-being of the dogs and report any concerns to a supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including cleaning and sanitizing the bathing rooms, grooming area, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, other staff and supervisors
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of the dogs groomed and the services provided.
- Take before and after photos of pets and or document health, coat, skin conditions of any pet
- Assist groomers with bathing, drying, nail clipping paw pad shaving, holding dogs.
- Answering phones and make appointments
- Checking in and checking out both clients
Requirements:
- Physical stamina: Dog bathers must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and handling dogs.
- Attention to detail: Dog bathers need to be meticulous in their work and pay attention to each dog’s specific needs and preferences.
- Customer service skills: Dog bathers may interact with pet owners and need to be able to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
- Organizational skills: Dog bathers need to be able to keep a clean and organized work environment and maintain accurate records of the dogs they have groomed and the services provided.
- Knowledge of grooming techniques: A basic understanding of grooming techniques, such as how to brush a dog’s coat, is important for dog bathers.
- Observation skills: Dog bathers need to be observant and alert to any signs of distress or illness in the dogs in their care.
- Time management skills: Dog bathers may need to manage their time effectively to ensure that all of the dogs in their care are properly groomed and cared for.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
