- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of each pet’s coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during the grooming process.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, fostering a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best care possible.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field such as veterinary assistance or animal care is preferred.
- Strong skills in animal handling, including dog handling and restraint techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy animals as needed; physical stamina is essential for this role.
