Ruffner’s Luxury Pet Boarding and Doggie Daycare, an upscale pet care center, is now interviewing for enthusiastic part-time and full-time staff members. We are conveniently located in St. Charles off of Dean Street and Randall Road.

Pet Care Specialist – Job Description
This position reports to the Pet Care Manager. Has responsibility for maintaining the health, safety, and comfort of all of our guests and some customer interaction.
Primary duties will include:
· Lead, monitor, and manage play groups of possibly 10 or more dogs at a time
· Conduct new dog behavioral “interviews” – aggression test
· Prepare and distribute meals, treats, fresh water, and medications (if needed)
· Record/report accurate info on the status, activities,health, and behavior of each dog
· Clean/sanitize suites, play and common areas, do dishes and laundry
· Assist with minor landscaping and maintenance as needed
Secondary duties may include:
· Greet new clients (people), provide facility tours, and explain available services
· Handle phone inquiries and book reservation requests
· Enter information and utilize specialized computer software
· Bathe dogs and perform other basic grooming tasks
Qualifications
· Passion for animal care
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Positive attitude and friendly disposition
· Excellent communication skills
· Basic computer skills
· Attentive, observant, and detailed oriented
· Physically able to secure and handle large dogs
· Physically able to handle cleaning and minor maintenance
· Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
· Some retail experience is helpful
