1st Shift Production Supervisor 5:30am-4pm Mon thru Thursday and Fridays as Needed!
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor will assist the Plant Manager to plan, direct and coordinate fabrication and assembly operations to effectively and profitability produce superior quality products and ensure on-time delivery. This position will oversee a shift crew at the production plant and will provide leadership to improve safety, housekeeping, product quality, process efficiency, and labor deployment.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Oversee production activities. Follow escalation procedures to react when targets are not achieved across all shifts.
- Properly resolve problems and troubleshoot issues as they arise possibly without the direction of management.
- Assign team members with tasks to be completed each shift.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and coach individuals when not in accordance with our servant leadership approach.
- Lead (problem solving) activities for key issues within production ranging from quality, safety, productivity continuous improvement etc.
- Support continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure activities on the floor for build are in line with plan. All issues that impact need to be escalated and clearly understood at all levels of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; post secondary education preferred
- 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- 2 years supervisory experience

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
- Skilled in Microsoft Office
- Ability to write, speak and comprehend English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

This position plans, staffs, evaluates, and directs work of employees in a work unit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is subject to light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
This position is subject to the following activities: standing, walking, talking and grasping.
VISUAL ACUITY
The worker is required to have a close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
