What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Generalist position at Ruiz Food Product, Inc.?
SALARY: $20.65/hour
SHIFT: Swing (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the majority of the housekeeping needed to maintain a clean warehouse that can be pass USDA standards
- Help the Shipping Specialist with their daily tasks i.e., delivering the pick list, additional and breaking down any deliveries so they can be properly stored.
- Receive product from the packaging line and ensure the product makes its way into the freezer in a timely manner.
- Shrink wrap any pallets that need to be wrapped
- Help in any way possible the needs of the department if time permits
- Checking the battery area in shipping to ensure the 96-inch lift always has battery at the ready
- Move pallets through the old freezer when the export stamping or labeling process is taking place
- Maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to Safety policies, USDA, QA, HACCP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), sanitation Rules, regulations and company policies.
- Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position
- All other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires forklift operator’s license (sit down as standup) Forklift Operator’s license required (licensing can be provided by RFP)
- Must be able to follow directions and have good communications skills
