We are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Inspector to join our team at Rummel Klepper and Kahl.
About the Role
This position involves leading complex and routine inspections on highway, bridge, and design/build projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure project success.
- Train and supervise inspection technicians in the field.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and engineers.
- Analyze complex problems and develop sound solutions.
Requirements
- Four (4) years of experience in roadway and structures construction.
- GDOT Construction Engineering Inspection Training Group 3.
- GDOT WECS.
- GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
- GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control).
- Advanced working knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering and construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Working knowledge of GDOT manuals, policies and procedures, include the Construction Manual.
- Ability to understand, explain, and administer contracts; and interpret construction plans, provisions, standards, and specifications.
- Ability to train, coordinate, and supervise inspection technicians in the field.
- Understanding of QA/QC development and execution process.
- Travel to job sites is expected, clean driving record.
- Experience with MS Office and mobile devices.
