What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECYCLING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position at Rumpke?
Recycling Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing repair and maintenance on equipment in a plant. This position routinely requires moderate to extreme physical exertion and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions.
Nights : Monday - Friday
Hours : 2 : 00 pm - 4 : 00 am
Responsibilities of Position :
- Perform and follow all preventative maintenance duties to equipment, and maintenance schedules.
- Track daily work performed via the TMT work tracking process.
- Continually monitor machinery and make necessary adjustment(s) to ensure proper operation. Make minor repairs to equipment such as replacing bearings and return rollers.
- Track work performed via the conveyor cleaning preventive maintenance list.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards.
- Complete all paperwork and / or electronic updates as required.
- Regularly use heavy industrial shop tools and equipment.
- Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
