RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a Catalog Specialist to join for an approximate 3-month project!
This role requires 5 days onsite in Seattle.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Catalog Specialist to support a 3-month project focused on improving product classification within an online retail catalog. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys independent, focused work and wants to contribute to the visibility and success of small artisan businesses. The primary goal is to reclassify handmade items in the catalog to ensure accurate product placement in search and browse experiences. This work directly impacts how customers discover handmade goods and how sellers grow their businesses on the platform.
As a Catalog Specialist, You Will
- Audit and update product classifications and subcategories for handmade items
- Ensure products are surfacing correctly within the site’s category structure
- Review and correct catalog mappings to improve the customer experience
- Conduct quality assurance checks to validate correct product placement
- Collaborate with product managers and technical teams to identify and resolve catalog issues
- Attend regular team meetings, including staff check-ins and business reviews
- Provide ad hoc support on related projects if primary classification work is completed early
As an Applicant, You Bring
- At least 1–2 years of post-college professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year undergraduate degree required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Highly analytical mindset with a passion for data accuracy
- Proven experience in data entry or catalog management
- Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, working with large/raw data sets)
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or retail catalog structures is a plus
- Strong business writing skills, including documenting SOPs and findings
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in supporting artisan and maker communities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Nice to have: Experience with Seller Central or Selection Central; basic SQL skills

Compensation
Pay Range: $25.00 - $29.25 (Hourly)
The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
