Locations: The Perennial (Bella Vista Hotel, Terrace Level) & Pearls of Life Memory Care Community (Lynchburg, VA)
Position: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $16/hour
The Perennial, an active senior living community located within the beautiful Bella Vista Hotel & Suites, is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Coordinator to lead engaging programs for our independent and dementia-care residents. This role will also extend to Pearls of Life, our dedicated memory care community just five minutes away, providing additional opportunities to enrich the lives of seniors with specialized activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and facilitate creative, social, and wellness activities that enhance residents' daily lives.
- Encourage participation and foster a positive, inclusive environment.
- Transport residents in the community van for outings and appointments.
- Work closely with residents, families, and staff to provide meaningful engagement.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of both independent and memory care residents.
Qualifications:
Experience in senior activities, recreation, or a related field preferred.
A heart for working with seniors, including those with dementia.
A valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a van.
Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills.
