Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Buyer / Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement and inventory management for our stores. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail purchasing, inventory planning, and the ability to forecast trends within the run specialty industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with the store’s sales goals and brand identity.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock turnover while avoiding overstock or shortages.
- Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to identify high-demand products and plan seasonal promotions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margin, and inventory turnover.
- Stay current on industry trends and product innovations, particularly in running footwear, apparel, and accessories.
- Oversee order placement, invoicing, and inventory reconciliation.
